So gardening has begun for 2005. With Jen and Avery looking on from a comfy lawnchair in the shade of a huge white pine, Jason sucessfully spread some composted manure on the garden, turned the soil, and planted a double row of peas. The thyme and oregano patch is already green and all cleaned up. This year, we're thinking that in addition to peas, we'll grow two varieties of tomatoes, carrots, peppers, cilantro and basil. We're thinking about trying onions or garlic again too. We're debating on whether we'll grow lettuce again. Any thoughts from our readers? This will be the first year that we can cut some asparagus from our bed, as well.

You'll definately need garic. What garden is complete without it? -B
We tried, unsuccessfully, to grow garlic last year. Maybe we'll try again this year... last year was very wet and a lot of plants rebelled. -jen
I vote for trying garlic again... It's fun to watch the stalks curl and even more fun to harvest and eat...
