As promised, I've posted Avery's updated weight and length charts. As you can see, he's right on the 50th percentile in weight, but he's at the 75th percentile in height. Any doubt that he's eating enough can be put to rest, I'd say.

Avery is growing!
Avery had his two month well visit (he's 11 weeks tomorrow) with the Dr this morning. He now weighs 13lbs and is 24 3/4 inches long (stay tuned for updated growth charts). He's growing so fast. He also received four vaccinations today...ouch. He was not happy about that. This photo is completely unrelated.. but isn't he a cute baby?!

Those Crazy Canadians
Those Canadians certainly love their pastries. Though they'll undoubtedly hate us, at least momentarily, for posting this photo, we had a great time during Jenn and Darren's visit. There was much food and good wine, and I think they enjoyed test driving our baby.

Blue Chicken Power
Avery has started discovering his hands over the past couple of days. Today they just happened to hold a blue chicken.

My First Baby
Max had a cancerous mass removed last Friday. The pathologist thinks that the muscle cells around the mass are healthy... indicating that the Dr most likely removed the entire mass. We now need to consider if we want/can persue additional, more aggressive, treatment therapies. We have a lot to think about. What makes me feel good about it all... he'll be nine this fall... and he has had a really great, happy, pampered life and he has been loved every day! -jen

Sporty Spice
Avery is looking very sporty today. Avery, Max and I just returned from our daily walk... not easy to do with all of this rainy weather. Avery stayed awake in his stroller for the entire walk. He is smiling so much now (ok, not in this particular picture). He is so much fun these days.

Avery: 68th Day
Today is Avery's 68th day. An average day for Avery--napping on the couch pretty much since first thing this morning, with occassional interruptions for eating and diaper changes. We did giggle and do bicycle legs for a bit earlier, before he fell back asleep. He certainly is smiling more and more, and starting to recognize some of the routines, like bath time and diaper time. We sure do love him. -JGR
