Max, the brainwave that he is, got sprayed by a skunk this morning right before we were supposed to leave for work. Everyone is quite skunky right now. I got run out of work and had to go home and do laundry and take a shower. Jen is smelly. Even Avery smells like he met the wrong end of skunk. Max is spending the day outside and our house is ventilating.

Ugh. Please please please don't ever let Manny get sprayed by a skunk. I think I would have to throw him away. Eeek.
Jethro got it, and Jake got it twice. I have a great recipe at home for removing the smell.

Last night we bathed Max in a solution of peroxide and baking soda, then bathed him with dog shampoo. It seems a little better... but he got damp this morning and it brought back some stench. We left all of the windows open in the house yesterday with fans blowing out. Then we went crazy on the house last night... carpet sprinkles, washed floors, dusted all surfaces, sprayed air freshner, burned essential oils, lit candles, and installed some plug-ins. Hope we don't stink anymore... we're afraid the smell is burned into our noses and that we can't tell anymore!
If (when) Manny gets sprayed I am going to refer back to this post for the "solution" so don't delete it, k? :)
