Avery enjoyed our visit to the Alligator Farm in St. Augustine, FL over the weekend. Devon went there as a child and wanted to share the experience with Avery! It took a little bit (and a demonstration by Devon) before he was brave enough to take a silly photo in the mouth of the gator. Avery has no fear of snakes though. His dad had quite a different experience with a Florida snake a few years ago. We also had the chance to play with little lizards in Devon's backyard.

Fun is right! It looks like Avery had a blast, even with the gator :)
Did one of those gators get him in the eye? It looks bruised on that last picture. maybe just the lighting.
Black eye yes - but not from the Gators. His shiner was a week old in these photos. He was sitting in a laundry basket, fell over and hit his eye on the corner of a table at daycare. It was pretty gnarly looking for a bit. It has finally healed.
