Avery meets Acadia

Today, we capped off a nice week of vacation with a visit to Acadia. It was a beautiful day for it, with nothing but blue skies and a gentle sea breeze. Avery saw the ocean for the first time, and even got to feel and taste some dried seaweed (look in his hand).  Posted by Picasa

Wow, what a nice picture of Avery. So glad that you went there with him. He is so lucky to have parents who care like you two do. I can remember when!!! Enjoy!!

What expressions this little one has... It is fun to just imagine what is going through his mind... "This squishy thing feels WAY cool to my fingers! My mom and dad take me to the coolest places"... That's what I think is on his mind... Glad you had a good day...

I keep coming back to look at this picture. It was pretty amazing to have Avery sitting on my knee, looking down intently at the water spilling over the rocks and retreating. I'm sure the sight and sound was as amazing to him as it is to me every time I'm there.
