Avery has an ear infection. I had an ear infection every year when I was growing up. Jason never had the pleasure of experiencing the red hot, burning pain of an ear infection. I hope that Avery gets his dad's genes in this regard! The medicine seems to be easing some of his pain. So much for breastmilk being the wonder food that keeps illnesses away.

Fond memories of Jen's childhood ear infection experiences make me really hope that Avery DOES get his dad's genes in this respect... No fun for Avery or his mom and dad, hard to see your little one in discomfort...

Awww... poor guy! :( I was lucky enough to avoid them as a kid, too. Jen, I got my yearbooks from my mom's house the other day (or 3 out of 4, anyway) and was looking through the one of your senior year. You are the only person I know who doesn't have to be totally embarassed by their high school yearbook! When everyone is sporting bangs and unibrows and rolled-up pants, you look totally normal. I wish I could say the same for myself!
